2:50 pm - 3:30 pm Workshop: Safety First: How to Protect Your Brand During Exponential Rise of Influencer Marketing
Jacqueline Gates - Lead Procurement Manager - Lubricants Marketing Contracts, Shell
Back in the 1800s, the queen and the Pope endorsed patented medicines, heightening the appeal and adding an element of “pop culture” to a fairly dull industry.

In today’s landscape, anyone with a YouTube account can be an influencer. While that presents a great deal of opportunity to your brand, it carries some risk to your brand as well. This workshop will give you some tips and pointers to:
·         What makes influencer’s different? Contracting best practices to protect your brand
·         Are those real people that are liking your influencer’s content? Auditing to avoid bot traffic
·         Horrible headlines: Stay out of the FTC’s cross hairs by following the rules around endorsement disclosures

2:50 pm - 3:30 pm Workshop: How To Become An Ethical Rock Star: The 21st Century Trust Stack
Andrew Susman - Co-Chair, Advertising Trust & Transparency Forum Ken Zinn - Vice President, Digital Marketing, Zurich Insurance Group
In today’s business environment, brands face immediate and devastating consequences when trust is lost with their ever-powerful consumers. Relying on abstract corporate ethical statements and legal compliance is not sufficient to make consumers, customers, and stakeholders comfortable.

To address this gap, the Trust and Transparency Forum is pleased to announce, preview, and invite partners into their launch of the 21st Century Trust Stack. Incorporating an Ethical Certification Program, this initiative is designed to empower brand partners with the systems and structure to support transparent, fair, and ultimately trusted relationships between organizations and individuals.

This session will empower attendees with the questions to ask and some of the tools necessary to serve as ethical rock stars within their own organizations.

As those of you in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries can attest, marketing teams wield quite a bit of influence throughout the organization.

To be fair, major consumer brands like Coca-Cola, Mars, Pepsi, and others wouldn’t have the brand recognition they do today without years of marketing investment.

This boardroom will give you an opportunity to swap stories with your peers in this industry to discuss some of the challenges, issues, and accomplishments unique to this category.

Procurement Practitioners affiliated with the CPG Industry will be automatically added to the attendee list for this session upon registration.

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm ProcureCon Speakeasy Reception (Off Site at Speakeasy Bar in Downtown Austin – Shuttle Pickup In Lobby of Austin Hyatt)

During Prohibition, the bootlegging business was very prominent, and illegal “speakeasies” replaced saloons that had been shut down. Secretly operating in basements of abandoned buildings and office buildings, patrons would enter through the alley. You would need to either whisper the password of the night, knock a special knock, or have a membership card to gain access. An owl behind the bar meant it was the place to be. Be sure and take a look above the bar!
